Life on Mars?

High orbit view (NW to SE) from the region in the Isidis Planitia where the Beagle2 might land (Not in the water of this 3,5 billion years ago visualisation!).

The large Du Martheray Crater and the Libya Montes just above the submerged Isidis Planitia.

The level of the water is at about the 'level of contact 2', 1490 m.

Footprint Beagle2

A so called footprint (landing elipse) of the Beagle2.

The Isidis Planitia is a possible landing site for the Beagle 2 (Mars Express) , in search for sub-surface water and possible (ancient) life.
